Yes, I did see Santa Claus The Movie in theaters and yes, it changed my outlook on Santa Claus. He wasn’t some jolly fat guy in a red coat. He was a toy maker that already had it in his heart to give the toys as gifts at Christmas time to children. He was chosen by elves and elders for his talent as a toy maker and his capacity to love all the children of the world. The movie really came to life for me when it hit home video for the first time. My parents actually invested in something that Christmas. It was a Sharp VHS Tape Player and Recorder and a copy of… you guessed it, Santa Claus: The Movie.
I can remember watching “Weird Science” with my brother. My Dad had taped it off of TV on our VCR and my brother and I memorized the whole movie. We could recite it word for word. It’s a really funny movie.
Do the “Truffle Shuffle”… DO IT! Just kidding! I love “The Goonies”. I really do. My friends and I would gather around the T.V. about mid-October and watch the televised network broadcast – that INCLUDED the missing giant octopus scene. If you’ve never seen this movie – let me just say how great it is. A bunch of teens find and follow a map leading to One-Eyed Willie’s treasure. The rest is cinematic history! Now you can watch “The Goonies” here, for FREE and in HD. Enjoy!
This comedy gem from 1985 is a hysterical look at just what could happen to a kind, gentle and slightly naive family man (played by the late, great John Candy) when getting a “Summer Rental” house for a much needed family vacation. Lay back and take a ride on The Barnacle! I present Summer Rental in HD for your viewing pleasure. Enjoy!
For thirty-five years now we have watched the Brain, the Athlete, the Basket Case, the Princess and the Criminal serve in Saturday detention. The Breakfast Club stars most of the Brat Pack in a very revealing look at what kids have to go through at home that carries over to school time. Here is the movie in HD and a trailer to go along with it. Enjoy!
Back to the Future is a modern classic… Whelp, not so modern anymore. It is conceivably a perfect movie. A film about time travel featuring Michael J. Fox that did not have plot holes. Yeah… Check it out for yourself right here in HD. I’ve also included the rare trailer. Enjoy!
A fantasy cult film featuring a man-child, a bike and an long adventure were offered to the public in 1985 to a mixed reception. Let’s just say you either loved Pee-wee or hated him. But he had enough fans to turn the movie “Pee-wee’s Big Adventure” into a classic. Here is the full movie in HD and I’ve also thrown in the official movie trailer. Enjoy!
