30 years ago awesome music was in abundance. Some of the most memorable albums from the decade were released in 1985 and we’ve got the Top 10.

10. Welcome to the Real World - Mr. Mister

'Welcome to the Real World' was the second album by pop rock band Mr. Mister. Two singles from the album, "Broken Wings" and "Kyrie" both went to #1 on the singles chart.

Another single from the album, "Is It Love," was a top 10 hit for the band, peaking at #8 on the Billboard chart.

09. Heart - Heart

Heart is the self-titled eighth studio album released by the rock band Heart. The album yielded the first number one single for the band, "These Dreams", along with four other hit singles: "What About Love", "Never", "Nothin' at All" and "If Looks Could Kill".

The album also spent 92 weeks on the Billboard 200 and became the only Heart album to hit number one.

08. Who's Zoomin' Who? - Aretha Franklin

'Who's Zoomin' Who?' is an album by musician Aretha Franklin. It received praising critical reviews from people such as Robert Christgau. The hit single "Freeway of Love" proved both a commercial hit as well as a career achievement for Franklin, earning her a Grammy Award for Best Female R&B Vocal Performance.

At the time of the albums release, Franklin rated it as one of her best albums ever.

07. Brothers in Arms - Dire Straits

'Brothers in Arms' is the fifth studio album by the rock band Dire Straits. The album charted at number one worldwide, spending nine weeks on the Billboard 200 producing hits such as "Money for Nothing".

The album is the eighth-best-selling album in UK chart history, is certified nine-times platinum in the United States and is one of the world's best-selling albums of all time.

06. Hunting High and Low - a-ha

'Hunting High' and Low is the debut album by new wave band A-ha. In all, five hit singles from the album were released: "Take On Me", "Love Is Reason", "The Sun Always Shines on T.V.", "Train of Thought" and "Hunting High and Low".

The group was nominated for best new artist at the Grammy Awards in 1986.

05. Around the World in a Day - Prince

'Around the World' in a Day is the seventh studio album by Prince and The Revolution. The record company released the album with minimal publicity. Prince made this request because he preferred the public to first experience the record in its entirety rather than through any one song.

The album did however spin off hits like "Raspberry Beret" and "Pop Life" when it was released.

04. No Jacket Required - Phil Collins

'No Jacket Required' is the third solo album by singer-songwriter Phil Collins, the lead vocalist and drummer for the rock band Genesis. "One More Night", "Sussudio", "Don't Lose My Number", and "Take Me Home" were all released as singles. All four singles were top ten hits on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, with "Sussudio" and "One More Night" reaching number one.

The album name stems from an encounter at a restaurant were Phil wasn't wearing appropriate attire...a proper jacket.

03. Songs from the Big Chair - Tears for Fears

'Songs from the Big Chair' is the second album by the rock band Tears for Fears. The album contained a string of international hit singles, including: "Mothers Talk", "Shout", "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" and "Head over Heels".

The album title was derived from the 1976 television film Sybil about a woman with multiple personality disorder who only feels safe when she is sitting in her analyst's "big chair".

02. Whitney Houston - Whitney Houston

'Whitney Houston' is the self-titled debut album by pop singer Whitney Houston. The album generated three number-one singles: "Saving All My Love for You", "How Will I Know" and "Greatest Love of All".

The album was one of those very rare cases that enjoyed global success by a new black female artist, topping the albums chart in many countries.

01. We Are the World - USA for Africa (Various Artists)

'We Are the World' is an album and charity single originally recorded by the super group USA for Africa - an accumulation of entertainment stars. With sales in excess of 20 million copies, it is one of the fewer than 30 all-time album singles to have sold at least 10 million copies worldwide.

The album won three Grammy Awards, one American Music Award and a People's Choice Award.
